Congratulations are in Order

... for Garry and Carla. They are expecting their first child:

We found out shortly before Christmas—boy, some Christmas present, huh?—and it was the biggest shock ever. Let’s just say it was very unplanned, but obviously Someone had other ideas for us. We’ve both been going through a lot of emotions since then…but I have an excuse—I can just blame the hormones (which I do, quite a lot!), hee hee. I feel completely overwhelmed about the prospect because I do take parenthood extremely seriously and don’t want to screw this up, I felt totally not up to the job of parenthood so I guess I tried to consciously avoid it and besides, I felt OK at not having children. I just don’t feel ready for this, period.

Why not head over and offer some encouraging words?
