Surrogate Parents

I just found out that a coworker's close friend is her and her husband's gestational mother. She and her husband have a fertilized egg growing inside her friend.

This was something that they had talked about when my coworker got engaged. Something they also had talked about when they were in high school together. Now they just found out that her friend is pregnant with their baby, which is due next February.

I find this interesting and am blown away by this friendship and commitment. Especially since the gestational mother is married and has a son of her own.
