I recorded a Journey Inside My Mind Podcast episode today in under an hour. Sure I spent a little bit of time getting stuff together, but it took a lot less time to record with Castblaster than with Audacity. I still use Audacity to mix everything together and for editing the smaller tracks, but I could seriously get used to Castblaster. We'll see.

Right now I'm waiting for the link to be made ready at the hosting server.

Fixing Small Thinking

As I have been taking steps to fix my small thinking, lately, I've been drawn back to a certain passage from the Bible:

Mark 11:22-24 (New International Version)

"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I find myself struggling with this passage. When I was younger I would read this passage and take it to heart. Now I find myself saying, "Can I really move mountains?" As I meditate on this passage, I find myself also thinking about this one:

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

I can ask God to move mountains in my life, and, according to his will, he will do it. This brings me to this other passage:

Offering myself to God, not conforming to the pattern of the world, and keeping my mind renewed are keys to knowing his will for my life. Then, as I ask God to move the mountains according to his will and believe and not doubt, he will do it.

Something New Is Coming...

Seriously. I got a webcam hooked up to the internet. You can see updated images of me, as I have the webcam on and tweaked. Right now it's not being updated as I'm going to be taking pictures throughout the night of our dining room table to see whether the cat jumps on it or not.

The Need to Unplug, Man

I feel as though I've spent so much of my life lately in front of this computer. With blogging, podcasting, listening to podcasts, checking e-mail, working, and job searching - and socializing, I'm starting to feel a bit burned out by it all.

Today I went to Half Price Books and bought a hardcover blank journal. I can't remember the last time I'd had one, but it's been close to a decade, I think.

I've decided that I'm going to spend a bit more time journaling in there and maybe not so much over here. I know that's going to be hard to do, but I'll appreciate the freedom to share thoughts that way instead of online.
